Case Study: Decision Support Platform Facilities and Capital Program Management
The Real Estate and Facilities Management Department of a hospital system with 2200+ beds and $3 billion in total revenue launched a three-year initiative to improve the coordination of its strategic planning, capital asset planning, project implementation, facilities operation, and maintenance processes. The hospital needed better visibility into - and control over - all of its assets for aligning facilities-related processes with corporate and risk management strategies.

Enstoa consultants worked with Facilities management to deploy a comprehensive decision support platform that operates on the hospital's existing IT infrastructure. A data mart collects information from individual applications that manage capital projects, space, and asset maintenance. Key performance indicators, dashboards, and executive reporting provide the Facilities Department and other hospital departments with comprehensive visibility into planned and ongoing capital projects, facilities and real estate assets, risk controls, and personnel efficiency.

Case Study: Capital Project Management Automation
The capital projects group of a multi-billion dollar real estate developer hired Enstoa to automate key project management processes using a workflow and collaboration based software tool. The real estate developer's rapid growth and partnership-based business model made it necessary to standardize processes and reporting across locations. Enstoa was hired as part of an overall IT strategy to incorporate best practices and move towards streamlined "paperless" processes. Key project management tasks from manual spreadsheets and word-processing documents were transformed into automated processes. The turn-key solution was deployed nationwide in 10 weeks, and is currently being utilized by members of the company's development project management, construction project management and project accounting teams.

Enstoa worked with the IT Department to integrate the project management system seamlessly into the organization's financial system, PeopleSoft. Real time information such as PO's, Invoices, Posted Payments, and Vendors is exchanged between systems for a comprehensive approach to program and project management.
